What the project did
IWKA — Inclusion of Women in Kosovo’s Agribusiness — improves the economic and social status of women in Kosovo by supporting women-led agribusiness, working with women at risk of poverty and returnee women in the municipalities of Prishtina, Graçanicë, Ferizaj and Junik.
“The project is financed by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) through Engagement Global gGmbH and is implemented by CARE International and local partner organizations: Kosova — Women 4 Women and the Program for Civil Rights in Kosovo.”
Support is given through eight-day seminars, professional training and grants of up to €10,000. Contracts were signed with 20 grant recipients in July 2023 and with 25 in March 2024.
